Tuvalu øgruppen består af seks ægte atoller og tre øer. De faktiske
atoller er Funafuti, Nanumea, Nui, Nukufetau, og Nukulaelae, mens
Nanumaga, Niulakita, og Niutao er enkelte øer.
De sidste tre øer har små saltvandsdamme, mens Nanumea
har en friskvandsdam, usædvanligt for en atol.
