Ny læseplan for historie i gymnnasierne skal i 2005 'give eleverne mere overblik og historisk sammenhæng' som det også er tilfældet i Storbritannien:
New Guidelines for History from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority: The British government's exams watchdog, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA), issued new guidelines focusing on a "chronological" understanding history. The group argues that children need a basic knowledge of the sequence of history and dates to understand the concepts and gain skills for further study. For more information, please visit:
