Stop the War Protest. Iraq war veterans are arrested on the steps
of the US Capitol.

On Sept. 15, 2007, called by Veterans for Peace Maine, the people in the Maine had a statewide protest of the two days Blue Angels Air Show at the main gate of the Naval Air Station Brunswick. The theme was “Real Angels Don't Drop Bombs!” .
'Navy planes from NASB routinely fly surveillance and reconnaissance missions over Iraq calling in air strikes-many of which kill innocent Iraqi civilians. Recent news reports have indicated that the U.S. is now escalating this air offensive in Iraq. At these air shows our children are taught to idolize these “gods of metal.”'
'Taxpayers in Maine have already paid $1.2 billion as our shares of the cost of the Iraq war. For that same amount of money 322,153 people in our state could have been provided with full health care. The time is now to call for a cut in all funding for the occupation of Iraq.'
