THE RESULTS: The Day We Fight Back Generates Substantial Support for USA Freedom Act Reform Bill

WASHINGTON, DC – On February 11, members of Congress were bombarded with more than 96,000 phone calls and over 555,000 emails from Internet users demanding action to rein in the NSA's mass surveillance program. The successful mass mobilization campaign, in which over 6,000 websites like Mozilla and DuckDuckGo participated, was dubbed "The Day We Fight Back," and organized by a coalition of Internet Freedom groups, sites and services. Participants include Demand Progress, EFF, ACLU, CREDO, Fight for the Future, Google, Twitter, Tumblr, Mozilla, ThoughtWorks, Imgur, reddit, Upworthy, Wordpress and more.
