CONTRACTS from the United States
Department of Defense
US Foods International, Gardens, Calif., is being awarded a maximum
$155,000,000 firm fixed price contract for prime vendor full line
food distribution for the republic of Korea [South Korea] for Army,
Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and child development center. The
other location of performance is La Mirada, Calif. There were 15
proposals solicited and two responded. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is an indefinite
quantity contract exercising the first option. The Performance
completion date is September 22, 2006. The contracting activity is
the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa.
(SPM300-05-D-3084).
Military Produce Group was awarded a $72,508,100 requirements type
contract on September 19, 2005, to provide fresh fruits and
vegetables for 22 commissaries located in Georgia, North Carolina,
South Carolina and Virginia (includes Port of Embarkations for
Iceland and Cuba). Work will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia with
deliveries of fresh fruits and vegetables to various commissaries
located in DeCA's East Region with a contract completion date of
September 30, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. Thirty firms were solicited and two offers
were received. The contracting activity is the Defense Commissary
Agency, Resale Contracting Division, 1300 E Avenue, Fort Lee, Va.
