BAE SYSTEMS’ NEW CEO MIKE TURNER ASSUMES TABD EU CHAIR
Brussels: The Transatlantic Business Dialogue (TABD) announced on March 26 that Mike Turner, the newly appointed CEO of BAE SYSTEMS, will serve as its European Chair in 2002. Turner was appointed CEO of BAE SYSTEMS, effective immediately, following the resignation of former BAE SYSTEMS CEO and EU TABD Chair John Weston. BAE SYSTEMS, which will chair the TABD in 2002 with the Boeing Company, stated the company’s full support for continuing to lead the TABD process.
The TABD, a unique business-led process launched by the EU and U.S. in 1995, seeks to reinvigorate our economies by increasing transatlantic trade and investment opportunities through the removal of costly inefficiencies from excessive regulation, duplication and differences in EU and U.S. regulation.
