Tasmanien - britisk straffekoloni
Van Diemens Land - opkaldt efter Antonio van Diemen (1593-1645) ved det nederlandske Østindiske Kompagni, senere Tas-manien - beliggende syd for Australien, koloniseres fra New South Wales og bruges som britisk straffekoloni.
