Iran Hits U.S. Airbase In Iraq
January 07, 2020 "Information Clearing House" - Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has
targeted the US airbase of Ain al-Assad in Anbar province in western Iraq after vowing to retaliate the US
assassination of top Iranian anti-terror commander, Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
“Tens of surface-to-surface missiles” were fired at the strategic airbase and the attack was later confirmed by
the US officials.

TEHRAN, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Iran's parliament on Tuesday announced U.S. Department of Defense, the
Pentagon, as "terrorist organization," official IRNA news agency reported.
"According to the vote by the Iranian lawmakers, all members of the Pentagon, the affiliated institutions and
companies, and the U.S. commanders who planned and perpetrated assassination" of Qassem Soleimani,
former commander of the Quds Force of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), are blacklisted, the
report said.
The vote of the parliament also obliged the Iranian government to allocate 200 million euros (223 million U.S.
dollars) to the IRGC's Quds Force to strengthen its defense power.
