The Capitol, which has been on high alert since the January 6 insurrection, is again on lockdown following an
attack on Capitol Police officers today. A vehicle struck two officers, killing one and injuring another,
authorities confirmed in a press briefing this afternoon.
The suspect was shot and killed by police after lunging at officers with a knife, according to the Metropolitan
Police Department, writes Mother Jones.
