$80 million in contracts awarded to complete move of nuclear parts complex

Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies has awarded $80 million in contracts to move the nuclear weapons parts plant at the Bannister Federal Complex into its new facility.
Half of the amount awarded went to two local firms: the Foley Co., a Kansas City-based specialty contractor, and P1 Group, an electrical, mechanical and service contractor based in Lawrence with operations in Lenexa.
Other companies getting contracts were CB Richard Ellis, Fry-Wagner, Graebel and Daniels

Firm Pays $80M for Equipment Transfers to New Nuke Parts Site
A company has distributed $80 million in deals for transferring components from an aging nuclear-weapon part production facility to its planned replacement site in Kansas City, Mo., the Kansas City Star reported on Tuesday .
Transfers from the decades-old Bannister Federal Complex plant are slated to start in roughly 12 months and continue for a 19-month period. The new complex would produce non-nuclear parts for the U.S. strategic arsenal under Honeywell Federal Manufacturing and Technologies, which provided the funding
