'This is the record of a ‘Die-in’ protest in Omaha, Nebraska, initiated by the Des Moines, Iowa and Omaha Catholic Workers on Oct. 10, 2007, during the ‘Keep Space for Peace Week.’ Three people were arrested; Fr. Jack McCaslin (78), Peg Gallagher(89) and Jerry Ebner (57). Otherwise, Omaha is also the annual GN conference host site from April 11 to 13, 2008.
The music, “Twisted Truth” comes from a CD, ‘ Honor Songs For The Great White Father.’ It is by an award winning songwriter/ recording artist and Omaha resident, Michael Murphy. He is a member of the International Native American Flute Association. He is also a member of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Mid-American Performing Arts. In this video, he was shown to play a role of the specter of Death in the protest.
