CONTRACTS from the United States Department of Defense
Black Hills Ammunition, Rapid City, S.D., is being awarded a
maximum value $49,999,999 firm-fixed-price,
indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for a minimum
quantity of 1,155 boxes, maximum quantity of 58,072 boxes of 5.56mm
77 Grain Long-Range Ammunition and associated data. Work will be
performed in Rapid City, S.D., and is expected to be completed by
September 2010. Contract funds in the amount of $994,455 will
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was
competitively procured via the worldwide web, with two offers
received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane,
Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-05-D-4856).
DG21, Dallas, Texas, is being awarded an estimated $25,805,195 for
Modification P00020, under a combination firm-fixed price,
indefinite-quantity contract (N62742-98-D-4500) to exercise the
seventh option period with award fee provisions for base operating
support services. $22,637,303 will be funded subject to
availability of funds. After exercise of this modification, the
total cumulative contract amount will be $296,209,593. Work will be
performed at the U.S. Navy Support Facility, Diego Garcia, British
Indian Ocean Territory, and is expected to be completed by
September 2006 (including options). Contract funds will expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was
competitively procured with 28 proposals solicited, two offers
received, and award made to DG21 on March 8, 1999. The Naval
Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is
the contracting activity.
Combined Systems Inc., Plainview, N.Y., is being awarded a
potential $25,200,000 firm-fixed-price,
indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for a min. 88
(ea)/max. 300,000 (ea) of 100, 200 and 300 meter 40mm Warning
Cartridges and associated data. NSWC Crane has been tasked by the
Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate to qualify Joint Non-Lethal
Warning Munitions (JNLWM) to satisfy Joint Services requirements.
JNLWM are required by the U.S. Navy for Anti-terrorism/Force
Protection purposes. Type I cartridges have a projectile range of
100-meters, Type II, a range of 200-meters, and Type III, a range
of 300-meters. Work will be performed in Jamestown, Pa., and is
expected to be completed by September 2010. Contract funds in the
amount of $48,333, will expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. The contract was competitively procured and advertised via
the Internet, with one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare
Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity
(N00164-05-D-4807).
ITT Industries System Division, Colorado Springs, Colo., is being
awarded a $40,351,813 cost-plus award fee contract modification to
provide for System Engineering and Sustainment Integrator contract
to integrate system engineering and sustainment of ground-based
missile warning, missile defense, and space surveillance sensors.
The SENSOR systems currently include ground-based radars and
optical systems controlled and operated by United States Strategic
Command and Air Force Space Command. The mission of the Space
Control Sensors Division and the Missile Warning and Defense
Sensors Division are to acquire and sustain a worldwide,
ground-based network of dedicated, collateral and contributing
missile warning, space surveillance, and intelligence data
collection sensors. These systems represent a major portion of the
United States Space Command Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack
Assessment System and the Space Surveillance Network. At this time,
no funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by
September 2006. The Electronic Systems Center Detachment 5,
Peterson Air Force Base is the contracting activity.
