CONTRACTS from the United States
Department of Defense
Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Garland, Texas, was awarded on
Sept. 13, 2005, a delivery order amount of $1,845,611,202 as part
of a $1,845,611,202 firm-fixed-price contract for the Omnibus VII
enhanced third generation image intensifier gound night vision
devices and spare image intensifier tubes. Work will be performed
in Garland, Texas, (60 percent), and Tempe, Ariz. (40 percent), and
is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2009. Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an
unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on June 9,
2005, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Contracting Agency,
White Sands Missile Range, N.M., is the contracting activity
(W9124Q-05-D-0823).
Harris Technical Services, Colorado Springs, Colo., is being
awarded a $56,228,327 estimated cost plus award fee contract
modification to provide for operations, maintenance, services to
the Air Force Space Command's 50th Space Wing, to include:
configuration management, electrical power systems management,
communication systems engineering, small computer hardware
maintenance, and database applications support, 24-hour maintenance
management, industrial safety, communications security, information
management, local area network management, communication network
control center operations, telephone operations, and visual
information management, communications circuit management,
satellite control center support, computer operations support,
communications-computer systems maintenance and operation for the
Defense Satellite Communications System, Secure Communication
System, MILSTAR, and other operations in support of the Air Force
Satellite Control Network. The location of performance is Schriever
Air Force Base, Colo. and Harris Technical Services. At this time,
$50,942,500 has been obligated. This work will be complete by
September 2006. The 50th Space Wing, Schriever Air Force Base,
Colo. is the contracting activity (FA2550-02-C-0007/P00052)
Harris Technical Services, Colorado Springs, Colo., is being
awarded a $37,775,521 estimated cost-plus incentive contract
modification to provide for operations and maintenance, logistics
and training support for the Air Force Satellite Control Network
weapon system at remote tracking stations around the world. Also,
maintenance and logistics support at Global Positioning System
ground antennas and monitoring stations; software analysis and
support for Global Positioning System; orbital analysis of military
satellites in orbit in support of military satellite controllers;
and provide security forces at New Boston Air Force Station, N.H.
Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by
September 2006. The 50th Space Wing, Schriever Air Force Base,
Colo. is the contracting activity (FA2550-00-C-0010/P00162)
ARCTEC Alaska, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska is being awarded a
$33,342,927 firm fixed price contract modification to provide for
operation and maintenance of the Alaska Radar System consisting of
17 remote radar sites for a twelve-month period. No funds have been
obligated. The Pacific Air Forces, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska
is the contracting activity (FA5000-04-C-0011/ P00025)
Northrop Grumman, Reston, Va, is being awarded a $28,533,698
indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with
cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing arrangements for surveillance systems
engineering, software development, and test and evaluation services
in support of the Joint and National Systems Division of Space and
Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego. The contract is one of
four contracts awarded: all awardees will compete for task orders
during the ordering period. The contract has a five-year ordering
period with no options. Work will be performed in San Diego,
Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2010. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This
contract was competitively procured with an unrestricted
solicitation via the SPAWAR e-Commerce Central website. Eight
offers were received. The contract is one of two being awarded in
the second of two possible award phases for the solicitation
(N66001-05-R-5001). Two contracts were previously awarded during
the first award phase of the solicitation. Space and Naval Warfare
Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity
(N66001-05-D-5042).
Knik Construction Co., Inc., Anchorage, Alaska, is being awarded a
$17,887,050 firm-fixed price contract for repair of airfield
pavement (Phase III) and upgrade of infrastructure (Phase I) at
Wake Island Air Force Base. Work will be performed on Wake Island,
and is expected to be completed by October 2006. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This
contract was competitively procured with 10 proposals solicited and
two offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command
Pacific, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity
(N62742-05-C-1304).
