CONTRACTS from the United States
Department of Defense
Federal Prison Industries Inc., [sic] Washington, D.C., was awarded
on June 29, 2005, a $97,357,327 firm-fixed-price contract for
procurement of the Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System,
EPLRS, and FHMUX Iks and associated ancillary items. Work will be
performed in Danbury, Conn. (42 percent), Edgefield, S.C. (1
percent), Fairton, N.J. (1 percent), Lexington, K.Y. (3 percent),
Lompac, Calif. (1 percent), Loretto, Pa. (1 percent), Memphis,
Tenn. (42 percent), and Phoenix, Ariz. (8 percent), and is expected
to be completed by Feb. 28, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of
bids solicited via the World Wide Web on June 27, 2005, and one bid
was received. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command,
Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity
