CONTRACTS from the United States Department of
Defense
Emerald Consulting Group LLC, Anchorage, Alaska, is being awarded a
not to exceed $24,844,118 (with a $5,000 guaranteed minimum)
firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity delivery
order contract for technical services required for the Arctic
Military Environmental Cooperation (AMEC) program at various CONUS
and non-CONUS locations in the Arctic. The AMEC program was
established to provide Norway, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the
United States the opportunity to work together in addressing
military-critical environmental concerns in the Arctic. AMEC has
previously completed seven key technology demonstration projects
for radiological and non-radiological projects. Continued support
of the program is required based on international agreement, and
technical support from the contractor is required to support the
ongoing AMEC program. Work is expected to be complete by July 2006.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This contract was 100 percent set-aside for an Alaska Native
Corporation under the Small Business Administration 8(a) Program.
Two potential offerors made presentations regarding their technical
capability. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington,
Wash., D.C., is the contracting activity (N40080-05-D-7027).
Northrop Grumman Space and Mission Systems, Clearfield, Utah, is
being awarded a $10,202,970 cost-plus fixed-fee contract
modification to provide for the attrition hardware effort in
support of the full rate production year four for the propulsion
replacement program on the Minuteman III weapon system. The
contractor shall identify and provide for the procurement of GFP
components that are known to be in short supply and are needed to
preclude production shortages. Total funds have been obligated.
This work will be complete by April 2007. Negotiations were
completed July 2005. The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center,
Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity
(F42610-98-C-0001).
