Raketaffyring til 21 millioner dollars
An unarmed Minuteman intercontinental ballistic missile was
test-launched early morning on April 8th.It was 2.29 a.m. when the
Vandenberg Air Force base in California blasted the missile into
the sky. Only 30 minutes later it hit the preterminated targets
3.800 miles away in the Kwajalein Missile Range in the western
chain of the Marianna Islands in the South Pacific. It was a
routine test of the ICHM systems reliability and accuracy. Cost:
$21 Million.
