The Non-Proliferation Experiment
On 22-Sep-1993 at 00:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories (LLNL) conducted a chemical explosion of about 4.48 terajoule (1 kt TNT-equivalent) released energy as a part of an effort knowing as the Non-Proliferation Experiment funded by the United States Department of Energy (DOE). More than twelve organizations made measurements before, during and after this explosion.
