Iran-Contra-skandalen

Reagan signs into law an act of Congress approving $100 million
of military and "humanitarian" aid for the Contras, a paramilitary
group fighting to undermine the popular democratic Sandanista
government in Nicaraagua. Unfortunately for Ronald Reagan and his
advisors, the Iran-Contra arms for hostages scandal is about to
break wide open, seriously compromising their goal of overthrowing
the Sandinista government.
