Operation Fishbowl
Thor-ICBM sporingssystem svigter ved Johnston Island, US Pacific
Test Range. Brintbombesprænghovedet ødelægges i
luften.

A Thor rocket was launched from Johnston Atoll in the Pacific Ocean
but the tracking system failed during flight and the rocket had to
be destroyed. The rocket's nuclear payload is believed to have
vaporized before reaching the ocean.
