Peoples Peace Now Committee etableres i USA af amerikanske kvækere og pacifister.
Organisationen virkede mod bombninger af civile og for en
våbenhvile med Tyskland.
'The Peace Now Movement was formally launched at a meeting of a few
individuals in Philadelphia on July 10-11, 1943. In the early part
of 1943, Mrs. Dorothy Hutchinson prepared an address entitled "A
Call to Peace Now," which she delivered before the Society of
Friends at Fallsington, Pa.Mrs. Hutchinson's "A Call to Peace Now"
and her later pamphlet, "Must the Killing Go On?" have been widely
distributed by the Peace Now Movement.'
