Amerikansk sennapsgas i Italien
During the night of December 2, 1943, German airplanes bombarded
the port of Bari, sinking 17 allied ships. Among them there was a
US liberty ship, the John Harvey, with 100 tons of bombs full of
mustard gas. With the explosion of said ship the gas dispersed into
the air, and there were at least 1000 victims among the crews and
the population.
