Oscar Straus would prohibit war loans
Suggests Making It Unlawful for Neutral Nations to in Any Way Aid
Belligerents.
MOHONK LAKE, N.Y., May 26. -- The representatives of fifty-one
commercial organizations attending the seventeenth annual meeting
of the Lake Mohonk Conference on International Arbitration to-day
sent telegrams to President Taft and Senator Cullom, Chairman of
the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, saying that they
"heartily indorse treaties of unlimited arbitration with Great
Britain, France, and other countries and wish speedy success with
such treaties", writes the New York Times.
