US PAVE PAWS

Amerikansk: The PAVE PAWS radar system, part of the U.S. Air Force Space Command, is located at the Cape Cod Air Force Station in Cape Cod, Massachusetts The facility which uses low-level phased-array radiofrequency energy has been in continuous operation since 1979. "PAVE" is an Air Force program name and "PAWS" stands for Phased Array Warning System. The primary purpose of the facility is to detect and track sea-launched and intercontinental ballistic missiles. The system's secondary function is to track earth satellites and identify other space objects.
