☮ London Fredsforening; Society for the Promotion of Permanent and Universal Peace / Foreningen til fremme af evig og universel fred også kaldet the Committee of the Society for the Promotion of Permanent and Universal Peace i begyndelsen.
Første europæiske fredsgruppe og fredsbevægelse, grundlagt i 1816 af kvækerne, William Allen og Joseph Tragellance Price.
'Foreningen skal bestå af personer af enhver trosretning, der er villige til at samle sig til fremme af fred på jord, og velvilje mod menenskene', hedder det i Den første årlige beretning fra Udvalget for Selskabet til Fremme af Evig og Universel Fred (1817) / The Society shall consist of persons of every denomination, who are desirous of uniting in the promotion of Peace on earth, and good-will towards men. First Annual report of the Committee of the Society for the Promotion of Permanent and Universal Peace (1817) Blandt senere underafdelinger kan nævnes the Swansea and Neath Peace Society grundlagt i 1817 og Birmingham Peace Auxiliary, grundlagt i 1827. Også underafdelinger i Australien, eksempelvis The Melbourne Peace Society, grundlagt i 1905. London Peace Society skifter i 1930 navn til the International Peace Society, efter en sammenlægning med the International Christian Peace Fellowship. London Peace Society udgav tidsskriftet the Herald of Peace til 1914? Blandt de aktive i London Peace Society var W. Evans Darby, Herbert Dunnico, Robert Mardsen, Henry Richard. Arkiv: Svartmore.
