Formerly Used Defense Sites. FUDS are
properties that the Department of Defense once operated but no
longer control. These properties can range from privately owned
farms to national parks. They also may include residential areas,
schools, colleges and industrial areas. The FUDS program includes
former Army, Navy, Air Force and other defense agencies’
properties.
